If you are looking for a thoughtful conversation about wellbeing during perimenopause, our St John's Wood team can help you explore the recovery services available at LondonCryo.
Our perimenopause support consultation is a chance to discuss your experience, ask questions and understand whether any of our services fit your goals. This guide explains what that conversation involves and the limits of our role.
Who this is for
The consultation is for women navigating hormonal change who want to discuss their wellbeing routine. You might be concerned about changes in body shape, tiredness, interrupted sleep, joint discomfort or how you feel after exercise.
You do not need a formal perimenopause diagnosis to ask us about our services. We also cannot confirm that a symptom is caused by perimenopause. If symptoms are new, persistent or worrying, arrange medical advice first or alongside your conversation with us.
What the consultation involves
We take time to understand your priorities rather than starting with a predetermined package. The conversation can include:
What you have noticed and how it affects everyday life.
Your activity, sleep and recovery routine.
Existing medical care, conditions and relevant medication.
The services you are interested in and whether they are suitable.
What a session involves, its cost and realistic expectations.
If you decide to go ahead, the plan should reflect your preferences and health circumstances. Any suggested frequency or combination of services is individual; there is no standard schedule that treats perimenopause.
Services we can discuss
Whole-body cryotherapy
A brief, supervised cold-exposure session, with screening beforehand. Read about whole-body cryotherapy. It is not a proven treatment for hormonal symptoms or a substitute for medical pain care.
Infrared sauna
A private heat session for people who enjoy setting aside time to unwind. Explore infrared sauna. We discuss suitability, including any health concerns that may make heat inappropriate.
Compression therapy
A session using compression boots while seated. See our compression therapy service. The team explains the experience and checks whether it is appropriate for you.
Red light therapy
A light-based session available as part of our wider wellbeing services. Find out about red light therapy. Suitability and expectations should be discussed rather than assuming that it will relieve a particular symptom.
What we do not do
LondonCryo does not diagnose or treat perimenopause as a medical condition, prescribe HRT or replace your GP or menopause specialist. Our recovery services should not be described as proven treatments for hormonal weight gain, insomnia or perimenopausal joint pain.
We explain our services honestly, including uncertainty about results. Where your needs are outside our role, we encourage you to seek an appropriate healthcare professional.
